My First Post: Livescribe Pencasts

This is my first real post. I'm choosing to write about Livescribe Pencasts, because I just attended a training last night! I can't wait to get started using my Livescribe pen. If you have other ideas for incorporating the pen, I'd love to hear them. I'm not sure how to best utilize this technology in my first grade class.

Some ideas I've had are...
  • Recording the phonemic awareness assessment
  • Making interactive worksheets/centers
  • Using the pen to develop fluency in writing
  • Sharing classwork on the internet
  • Sharing math problem solving
  • Share learning with students who have been absent
  • Share literacy (extra opportunities for some students to learn)
  • Recording some of my SmartBoard lessons so I can take some anecdotal records without influencing the flow of the lesson
  • Recording word wall words and charts (by taping small squares of the paper on my posters or purchasing the stickers from Livescribe)
  • Recording our vocabulary work
  • Recording our P.W.I.M.s (picture word induction model work)
I just can't wait to read some of your ideas.
