My first graders are learning about minimum, maximum, and mode. We're making comparison statements about bar graphs, pictographs, Venn diagrams, pie charts, frequency tables and more! Recently, I was able to use a spider pie chart that I found online with my class. Of course, I've gone complete overboard with the use of the "Pinterest" site to find teaching ideas. Below are a few of the pinned and repinned ideas I've found on that site...
I absolutely love the idea of graphing sight words presented by the Moffatt girls on Teacher's Notebook.
Kindergarten Crayon's blog at http://kindergartencrayons.blogspot.com/2011/06/chapter-4-now-lets-explore.html had a great template for your yes/no graphs.
Froggy Friends had a project posted on Teacher's Notebook that integrates the use of pattern block shapes into graphing at http://www.teachersnotebook.com/product/kgl925/pattern-block-activities
